Overview
Outline Architect ("the App") is developed and maintained by an independent developer. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information. The short version: we collect nothing, store nothing on any server, and share nothing with anyone. Everything you create stays on your device.
Information We Do Not Collect
The App does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
- Location data
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage analytics or behavioural data
- Crash reports sent to external servers
- Contacts, camera, microphone, or any other device sensor data
- Financial or payment information
How Your Data Is Stored
All content you create in Outline Architect — projects, dimensions, categories, subcategories, topics, and notes — is stored exclusively on your device using IndexedDB (a standard browser/app local storage technology). This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the Export feature.
The App does not have a backend server, user accounts, or cloud storage. There is no way for us to access your data even if we wanted to.
Export Feature
The App provides a JSON export feature that saves your data as a file to your device's local storage. This file is created by you, stored on your device, and is entirely under your control. We do not receive, access, or transmit this file in any way.
Print Feature
The App can send your outline to your device's native print dialogue. This interaction is handled entirely by your device's operating system and any printer or PDF service you choose to use. We do not receive any data through this process.
Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising networks, tracking SDKs, or social media plugins. No data is shared with any third party.
The App is distributed through the Google Play Store. Google may collect certain information as part of the Play Store platform (such as purchase records for paid apps). This collection is governed by Google's Privacy Policy, not this one.
Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no data is collected at all, the App is safe for use by all ages.
Data Deletion
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you are in full control of it:
- Delete individual projects within the App at any time
- Uninstalling the App removes all associated data from your device
- There is no account to delete and no server-side data to request removal of
Security
Your data is protected by your device's own security mechanisms (lock screen, encryption, etc.). Since data is never transmitted over a network, there is no risk of interception in transit.
Changes to This Policy
If this Privacy Policy is updated, the new version will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
